Here at Calvary we listen to the needs of our community and act using our congregation's talents and resources. We agree with the ELCA which says "Service activities offer an opportunity for us to explore one of our most basic convictions as Lutherans: that all of life in Jesus Christ – every act of service, in every daily calling, in every corner of life – flows freely from a living, daring confidence in God’s grace."
Opportunities to serve the community happen throughout the year - walk the Crop Walk, serve at the NJ Food Bank, participate in "God's Work, Our Hands" Sunday, or help the homeless through Operation Warmheart. And that is just the beginning. To find out about upcoming ways to serve, check out our
events page.
May we all be bold and confident enough to answer God's call to do the work that will make our community and our world a better place.
